I am a English/Spanish speaking Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the UK and Malta with a special interest in persistent pain, breathing pattern disorders and menopause.
I believe that movement is key one´s physical and mental health and I am passionate about helping people live a good quality life. I believe in listening to people´s stories, educating them about their symtoms and offering a holistic and practical rehabilitation programme tailored to their individual needs and guiding them on a journey towards recovery.
I am married with two children and a dog. In my spare time I like to travel, cook, walk the dog and practise yoga and pilates.
I qualified in 2003 at the University of Brighton (UK) with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and went on to work at several UK National Health Service Trusts in London and Kent before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and moving into private practice in 2005 where I worked in numerous private clinics before establishing my own. I continue to offer online consultations and also in person appointments in Malta.
I have experience in treating a wide array of musculoseletal disorders including persistant pain and have worked with numerous specialist Consultants and a National League football club. In more recent years I have trained as a Breathwork Coach, Mental Health Advocate and Menopause Movement Specialist.
Physiotherapy is more than one type of treatment, and the depth of my skills and expertise means that through careful questioning and easy functional tests I am able to diagnose the root cause of your problem and advise you on the most effective treatment plan including therapeutic exercises and self management advice. I can advise on a range of conditions including:
Upper limb pain
Lower limb pain
Whiplash associated disorders
Pregnancy related pain
Soft tissue injuries
Pre/Post surgery rehabilitation

I am trained in the treatment technique of Gunn IMS, Dry Needling and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture for pain relief.
IMS, Dry Needling and TCM acupuncture involve the use of very thin needles which are inserted into the tight muscles to decrease muscle tightness, increase blood flow and reduce pain. Treatment is based on scientific research and clinical evidence.
All needling techniques use single-use, pre-sterilised disposable needles of varying lengths, widths and materials.
A number of needles are used during a treatment session and may remain in position for up to 30 minutes before being removed.
Service available in clinic only
During the pre, peri and post menopausal years there are many changes to your physical and mental health due to fluctuating hormones and these changes in oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels can lead to many symptoms.
These sessions are a chance for you to discuss your symptoms and to be advised on how to make small changes to your lifestyle that can make a real positive impact on how you feel mentally and physically.
